Emily + Alec – 1.26.08
So I just recently released Emily and Alec’s wedding images from their big day on Jan. 26th. They had a truly spectacular wedding at Starlight theatre! I love shooting at Starlight. The receptions are to die for! This one was no exception. Totally over the top.
The couple are very busy people keeping up with their life in the medical field and I could tell they were so happy all day being surrounded by their friends and family.
I also had the pleasure of having my good friend Brooks Whittington from Dallas up to shoot with me. This dude is crazy talented and we are basically the same person, but I have hair! Anyway, it is always a pleasure to have him along as we have a blast shooting together.
The stellar line up of vendors- well some of them as I do not know all of them! Sorry.

On to the images. Thanks guys for letting us document your day!
Love this shot of Emily getting into her dress. Just a bit excited.
Alec getting it done with the tux.
The girls got ready in the actors dressing rooms.
Emily and Alec had to see each other before the ceremony. So their meeting took place under the Chuppah.
A quick portrait of Emily.
Great shot by Brooks. The very animated Rabbi during the Ketubah signing.
Grandpa looking on during the Ketubah signing.
More of the Rabbi reading the Hebrew on the Ketubah.
Alec and Emily waiting for the ceremony to start.
Love this shot of Emily and her dad. Her dad is great and was trying to quietly yell “Good Luck” to Alec as he walked down the aisle.
Emily kisses her mom after her parents walked her down the aisle.
This was a very emotional moment during the ceremony. Alec had recently lost his dad. Here is when the Rabbi made mention of Alec’s father. His mom in the background looking on. I was honored to be able to witness this.
The happy couple after the ceremony.
Time to slip away for a quick fix of the dress. I love moments like this where her mom and sister are helping with the task behind the scenes.
Is this not incredible! The view of the amazing setup of the reception from the cocktail room.
Getting silly on the dance floor.
The parents toasting the couple.
These are the moments I live for at a wedding. Totally quite, unexpected, and real. With all the stuff going on around them. They find time for each other at the reception. Nice!
The couple on the stage singing with the band.
The following are of the Hora. A traditional Jewish dance where the bride and groom and parents are hoisted up on chairs and carried around the dance floor. I love shooting these. It is like a mosh pit. Totally crazy and high energy. I love being in the middle. Here is Emily wondering why there is an empty chair next to her!
My angle of the parents during the Hora.
Sweet shot by Brooks of the parents of the bride during the Hora. So great having two shooters to cover both angles.
We ended the night with the cake cutting.
Later. Check back for some images of Rachel and Todd’s wedding I shot this weekend!
