Brienne and Jordan

Kelli of Red Door Event Design, hooked me up with Brienne and Jordan.  From the first description of these two and what they’re about, and what they wanted their wedding day to be like, I knew that I wanted to be the one to record it.  The style- the surface elements- could have been enough to inspire.  But in the course of only a few days getting to know these two and their friends, I fell in love with them.  The day was laid back, there were surprises along the way that were a treat for me to shoot, and at the end of the night, Jewell and I were actually sad to go home.  Thank you Brienne, Jordan, family and friends.  We had a ball with you guys.

To start, the dear family doggie, hanging out with dad on the couch.

there is no way I will remember the name of the dinosaur, but Brienne surprised Jordan with a groom’s cake in the fashion of the pre-historic creature whose skeleton resides at the natural history museum in Lawrence

the kids loved the dinosaur too

Now a bit of story to frame the end of the night.  Jordan is part owner of Vermont St. Barbecue on Mass, which he may be leaving soon to start a new life with Brienne in Portland.  As the reception was winding down, folks were talking about where to go to extend the party, and Jordan offered his bar.  For me, it was kind of a dream- here we are at Jordan’s bar- his baby that he will soon be saying goodbye to- his cousin playing guitar on the bar and an impromptu jam session unfolded.  These are the kinds of non-typical wedding situations that mix things up and keep things interesting.

Hey…Erik here…

I wish I had a time machine, so Molly & I could go back to our wedding day and have Becca capture the memories. Fantastic stuff…
On second thought, perhaps we just fire up a re-commitment ceremony or something? Great pics, as always!
