Staci and Robert

Friends, Hello, and Happy New Year!
I am excited to share another wedding after a long break from the blog over the crazy-busy holidays!
Staci and Robert. Let me share a few of my favorite impressions of these two. During our engagement session, they cracked me up. I specifically remember Robert disarming the awkwardness of getting started with his sense of humor. Another thing that instantly won me over about Robert was that he said he lives in two uniforms- a suit and tie for his real estate job, and cowboy boots for the rest of his life. Staci is a beauty backed up with incredible intelligence and accomplishment. She is actually interviewing for her first position as a medical doctor this week.
One of my favorite aspects of the day was that the beautiful and well known church that they were married in, Redemptorist Catholic Church, was built by Robert’s grandfather. We took a few minutes to do some cool portraits integrating the beauty of the architecture. In general, being at this wedding, it was so evident how important family is to these people. It just had an overall sense of warmth, humor, and hospitality. Thank you guys for welcoming me. Looking forward to seeing you next week!

I noticed Staci holding on to her mom as she began to get dressed. A small gesture that would likely be forgotten, but a beautiful moment to me

Robert is really close to his grandmother, and reserved a special dance for her.

“Man, I wish the Western Auto sign would turn on. . . BAM!” That was so great. I love these portraits, Becca. The video light–Mmmm. And, seriously, how many couples get a portrait of them that close to the Western Auto sign.
