The thing that stands out to me most about Jobrina and Ryan is their positivity. Because they live in Indianapolis, I wasn’t able to meet them until the actual wedding day, but after spending just one day with them, the image burned into my mind of these two is both of them with huge smiles, laughing, having a great time. I am guessing that this is the way they go through life. At the same time, they are not the least bit fake, they felt the bittersweet stuff deeply too. And the people they surround themselves with are the same, laugh loud, love big, celebrate well kind of people.
Thank you guys for inviting me into your day and your lives. We had a great time
Jobrina works for the NCAA, and the majority of her bridesmaids do too. We almost always see the guys watching sports on the wedding day, but i loved that the girls were glued to the football game too.
I was so touched by Jobrina’s relationship with her mom. As soon as I arrived, her mom told me the story of raising Jobrina as a single parent, and how much of a unit they became. Jobrina put together a book for her mom with pictures of the whole journey.
The shots of Ryan below are by Filip Blank of the Smiley Face Collective
Ryan wore a photo of him and his mom in memory of her. She was in everyone’s thoughts all day long.
Ryan’s sister and her husband danced all night long, and so did their kids. I loved this moment later in the night and found it funny that the kids were practically ignoring their parents dancing.
Ryan’s Portuguese grandmother. Over and over I saw her take people’s faces in her hands, look them in the eyes and kiss their faces. So endearing
I remember this brief moment in a loud crowded bar, where these two looked at each other quickly over all the chaos.

you were able to capture so many emotions, my hat is off to you for getting Grandma Marques and her affection to people that were unknown to her berfore this wedding. As for our daughter her happiness is captured in her smile and her eyes. Can’t wait to see the other photos. Her ku mom thanks you.
I love your style, deceitfully simple, no gimmicks, just real people and genuine emotions! Thanks for sharing this grand wedding photography!
