Kelly + Brad | Kansas City wedding photojournalism
“Wow we sure laugh a lot”, Kelly said while laughing during their slideshow upon seeing their images for the first time from their Kansas City wedding.
She was correct and I found that awesome about them. I even told her I had a hard time editing down the images as there were so many good laughing ones. But that is a good problem to have. Part of it was due to the fact that this is how Kelly and Brad are with each other the other part was due to how much fun not only their wedding was but the people involved. It was a day full of Kelly and Brad doing exactly what they wanted when they wanted to do it ranging from putting on bowling shoes for a game, to leaving the reception unannounced, to eating gluten free pizza on the bed in their hotel room.
I always say when things go wrong at a wedding it really shows peoples character in how they handle it. Two of Brad’s groomsmen including his best man could not make to the wedding last minute. Brad took it in stride being a very understanding friend as well as moving a groomsmen up on the roster which resulted in perhaps one of the funniest speeches I have ever heard. Most of the laughing photos I had to edit out were from the speeches, amazing.
It was great to be able to witness those smiles and laughter.

Some fast portraits before heading to the Berg.
Like I said their friends are pretty funny. These groomsmen found these in the trash at the church which made appearances all night long.
Kelly’s dad reacting to the toasts.
The dance floor was crazy thanks to Jeff Holmes.
LOVE this image. Brad’s aunt getting down. She was awesome!
The exit. Kelly and Brad decided to just walk out of the reception with no announcement.
Then they walked back to the hotel.
With their pizza!
What a great way to end the night.
