Hayley and Andy are a blast. Andy surprised Hayley with a proposal on the Country Club Plaza, so we trekked down there for their engagement session. These two are also serious sports fans. Emily & Matt Wedding | 07.05.08

Pardon the lateness on posting. This was a beautiful day that I’ve been eager to share!

Ceremony: Country Club Congregational Church

Event Planner: Holly Davidson of Simple Elegance

I was really excited when my friend Holly told me about Emily and Matt. Emily is best friends with two of my really wonderful former clients, and she teaches art, so I knew we would hit it off. Matt is an incredible track athlete, and the kind of guy that has fun in any situation. Our dear friend Seth married the couple at the charming Country Club Congregational church, right up the street from my house. Emily and Matt stressed that the most important thing was to have a great party for their friends ad family, and I think this might have been the most packed dance floor I’ve seen in my wedding career.
Thank you two for letting me be the one to record your day. It was beautiful.

Elle & Greyson Wedding | 06.28.08

I met Elle and Greyson at the wedding of one of my dearest past couple’s wedding- Tommy and Emily Hess. Elle is Tommy’s sister, and I remember thinking how cute Elle and Greyson were walking down the aisle as wedding party. Little did I know that a few years later, I would get to record them walking down the aisle as bride and groom. As I have said before, it’s wonderful to be a part of a wedding day with a family that I already know and care for. And it was an absolute pleasure getting to know the wonderful Clymer family. Elle and Greyson come from strong loving families and are surrounded by friends with solid history. They were such a fun (and beautiful) crowd!
Elle and Greyson first started dating at Shawnee Mission East high school. Everyone cracked up when one of the best men told the story of the night in high school when Elle and Greyson disappeared for a long while at a friends house, and eventually walked into the room hand in hand announcing to the room “we’re dating!”. Oh, high school. How cool to have known eachother all that time. I loved working with these two because they are beautiful in every way. It’s rare that style and beauty like theirs is matched with such genuine kindness.

Jessica + Josh | Wedding

I just recently had the pleasure of documenting Jessica and Josh’s wedding. This family was just so much fun to work with from the beginning. Jessica and her mom came in to meet with me and we immediately hit it off. Her mom is a no holds bar, tell it like it is kind of gal and I respect that. Life is to short for beating around the bush, I say. Funny thing was later that night after our meeting Pam, Alex and I went down to the Plaza Art Fair and who do we run into to?? It was so odd to see them there, but it was great, since it was the first time we got to meet Josh.

Jessica is such a wonderful person to be around. Her excitement and energy is contagious. There was never a shortage of expressions with this gal on her wedding day. It was so wonderful to witness. These two, and their families, were nothing but completely genuine every minute of that day. We had a blast.

Two heads are better than one!

The title of this one is not very helpful, so for those of you wanting to know more, this is a fun family shoot that Tyler did. The two heads I am referring, Max and Stella of course. Max and Stella are the 2 year old twins of Kim Ho, owner of You’re Invited, planning and event design. I have had the pleasure of knowing Kim in a former life that consisted of a “normal” 9-5 job and no kids. However, Tyler and I both have gotten to know her even better since working with her so closely on weddings over the last 4-5 years.

We were thrilled to have Kim bring her family in for some fun studio time. We got some great shots of the kids for their 2 year birthdays, and also some of the whole family. Enjoy some of my favorites!
